Behold Motorola's £89 smartphone
The new Moto E smartphone is selling for a measly £89 (no contract), which is very kind of the pocket. Motorola also announced the Moto G LTE which is going for £149 SIM-free.
Motorola SVP of software engineering Steve Horowitz said: "With the Moto X and Moto G, we put Motorola back on the map - we now have over 17 percent of the pre-paid market in the UK. Now we're introducing the Moto E, a great smartphone with a price point for all."
So what's the spec?
The Moto E has a 4.3in 960x540 resolution display and runs on Google's Android 4.4 Kitkat OS. It'll have a light custom Motorola interface, which Motorola reckon will "deliver updates quicker than anybody else in the industry".
It has a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chip and 4GB of internal storage (which you can beef up with a microSD card, of course) and one 5MP rear-facing camera. So, while it isn't the greatest phone on the market, looks like you'll be getting a lot of bang for your buck.
Fancy one of these instead of a Galaxy S5?
