All hail the greatest iPhone game ever... Bubble Ball?

17 January 2011

What's the top free game in the US iTunes App Store - beating Angry Birds Seasons - that has only been available since the end of December yet has been downloaded 1.5 million times? That's right - it's Bubble Ball, developed by a 14 year-old. And his mum.

Looking for a polished app with great graphics and sound effects? They're the other guys. But while it might look and play like it was designed by a horse, Bubble Ball has out-performed most other apps produced by games houses employing dozens of designers and developers (and spending tens of thousands of dollars on development). It's doing pretty well in the UK App Store too.

Reminds me of games played on ancient platforms like the BBC and the Spectrum. They were shite as well!

It's pretty shit, I completed the whole game in an hour waiting for a flight home today. Good thing it is free I guess.

Hasn't he just ripped off that physics game from a few years ago?
