Hack lets you call international numbers in your inclusive minutes

31 May 2010

Bitterwallet - Orange logoThis thread has been bobbing about on Hot UK Deals for a couple of weeks but we've just noticed it; there is a dial-through number for Orange contract customers to get free international calls to any country from the UK included in your inclusive minutes.

Some other details:

  • You need to have an Orange contract
  • It needs to have a free inclusive minutes package
  • Inclusive minutes still need to be available when making the call, and the call length comes out of those minutes
  • Don't make calls longer than the inclusive minutes available

The poster of the information, zigs71, promises there'll be no retribution for using the number, only that the service will be discontinued at some point.

We can't make you the same assurances and won't vouch for the claims made, but you can read more information about the hack for yourself (and get the number in question) on Hot UK Deals. If you try it, remember to let us know how you get on.

Yeah sure we will translate for you, it says that he reads bitterwallet and was the second person (and therefore a bit late) to post the same joke about a growing trend of bitterwallet readers to ask BW themselves if they can get people out of their contracts. You didnt need to speak chav you just needed to be a bit more funny in your own comments.

Watch out!! the owner of the number range is connected with the Thai mafia and if you are intending to use any of these Yim Siam numbers make sure they are not in the range 0758 900 1xxx because these are being monitored by Orange. Here are some 'safe' numbers that the Thai Mafia use themselves and can be used to call over 240 destinations worldwide - the test number is 0758 900 2908/9/10. To make sure calls are really free, first check your available inclusive minutes, then ring the test number: 0758 900 2908 for just one minute, and then check on your live billing to see if your available inclusive minutes has been reduced by one minute. If yes, then you have not been charged as it has come out of your 'free' minutes. If you are happy with this - then you will need to apply for your own access number to: [email protected] with "Safe Number" in the subject line and your Orange contract mobile number in the email text.
