Aston Martin make £2,000 pram

1 March 2013

Have you got more money than sense as well as having a baby? Then you're in luck because Aston Martin have released a pram which is limited edition and frighteningly expensive.

Aston Martin teamed up with British pram company Silver Cross to create the £2,000 baby-buggy.

If it's good enough for James Bond, it's good enough for your shrieking offspring, right?

So what do you get for your money? Well, not that any baby on Earth will ever appreciate it, the pram features Italian suede and super-soft leather which is used in the high-end motors, as well as having aluminium alloy wheels.

Silver Cross said: "This really is a must have for the most fast-paced lifestyle and is quite simply the most exclusive pram in the world. The Silver Cross Surf - Aston Martin Edition is the ultimate in comfort for your baby and in style for the owner."

There will only be 800 made and each pram will be individually numbered and be available to buy exclusively at Harrods from April. You get an authenticity certificate and an engraved chrome plaque which will prove that you've got the real deal, or indeed, confirm to the rest of the world that you're the kind of slackjawed mouthbreather who thinks nothing of spending so much money on a child that will only defecate all over that lovely Italian suede.

Make a limited edition in a co-deal with an expensive brand and you could sell £2,000 dog poo to cash-laden chavs.

So a silver cross surf with a different colour, different wheels and a square basket instead of a round shape one...all that costs £1600 more than the standard one then.

I don't think it's that badly priced as a new pram these says will cost you £700. I do wonder if this counts towards Astons CO2 requirement for the EU.

£2k isnt that much for a pram really. You can spen £1k without really thinking about it until your visa bill comes in...
