Tesco to accept Sainsbury's Brand Match vouchers

11 April 2016

tesco As you know, Sainsbury's have got rid of their price match offer, but fear not - if you have a load of Brand Match vouchers, Tesco have slid into view and said that they'll accept the redundant coupons from you, and give you money off your shopping.

Sainsbury's have said that they want to keep prices low and simple, rather than running promotions that customers find irritating or confusing. It is worth pointing out that Sainsbury's are running their scheme until 26th April, but Tesco will let you use your Sainsbury's vouchers until June.

Of course, Tesco have their own version of this scheme, called Brand Guarantee, which is basically the same operation, but there's no vouchers. Either way, the Sainsbury's deal regarded price-matching with Asda, so Tesco will be more than happy to take some customers from the Wal-Mart owned supermarket if possible.

Naturally, Tesco are hoping that Sainsbury's customers will go into their shops, see their deals, and prefer the way Tesco do things and declare their undying love for the supermarket.

Matt Davies, Tesco UK and ROI CEO said: "This is a little help for Sainsbury's customers from us at Tesco. It also provides the opportunity for Sainsbury’s customers to experience Tesco’s Brand Guarantee, which we launched in October, and has been universally welcomed by our customers."
