PS4 Neo specifications get leaked
A confidential presentation for the PS4 Neo - that's what it looks like - has appeared online, and shows of info about the spec of the console, and other things.
The presentation says the device will have 8 cores at 2.1GHz, and it that doesn't mean much to you, it basically means that it'll be 1.3 times faster than the PS4.
If you're super techie, then the new PlayStation looks like it will have an enhanced version the PS4's GPU, and 36 compute units running at 911MHz, which means 2.3 times the improvement of teraflops.
It will have the same 8GB GDDR5 memory, but with a better bandwidth of 218 gigabits per second. As for the hard-drive, it'll come in 500GB and 1TB like the normal PS4 variants.
The resolution on games will be much better, but maybe only noticeable to those who have a particularly keen eye.
The document does say that Neo game development is to "ensure that the Neo frame rate meets or exceeds the frame rate of the game on the original PlayStation 4".
Of course, this is all subject to change, but from October, there's going to be some game releases that support the PS4 Neo. That, we can be sure of.
