HotUKDeals Of The Day - Wednesday 2nd November

2 November 2011

new hukd logo Football. Beer. Games. One in the eye for the thousands of readers who send us letters every week and say that there’s nothing on Bitterwallet for all of our 85-year-old female readers. There’s plenty more for the dried-up old geese at HotUKDeals

1050232_1If you’ve ever fancied taking a trip to Arsenal’s gleaming Emirates Stadium to see what all the fuss is about, there’ll never be a better opportunity than this – cheap tickets to their Carling Cup quarter final showdown with moneybags Manchester City.

Tickets are available from next Wednesday (9th) and can be had for as little as £5 for concessionary ones and £10 for non-concessionary ones. You might see a bunch of reserve team players but for those prices, you could see the grandchildren of the members of Earth, Wind & Fire having a kickabout and still be happy.

1049902_1We move on to football’s natural partner – lager. Proper lager, with a continental strength as opposed to that stuff that is 89p for four tins from Asda. We refuse to even acknowledge that as being lager.

No, this is Carlsberg Export, and too much of it once made this writer do something in 1993 that he is still ashamed of to this day. So we’ll move on and tell you that you can get 15 x 275ml bottles for only £6.89 at the moment. Yum, slurp, burp, etc…

1050247_1Finally, a quick heads up for those of you who are planning to buy gaming-type stuff over the next few days as Christmas gifts. It might be worth hanging on a little bit longer until next Wednesday (the 9th, the same day as the Arsenal tickets go on sale).

We’re hearing word that there’s an Asda gaming event starting that day, with a white Wii console bundled with Wii Party up for grabs for only £89. Hopefully we’ll get more info over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled on HotUKDeals…
