HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 22nd December
Are you looking for a fantastically cheap Wii game, new heads for your worn-out electric toothbrush and an affordable way to lose days of your life immersing yourself in one of the finest cop shows of the past 20 years?
You are? Come on in then, and bathe in the HotUKDeal pool of bargains. It’s not really a pool, that’s just something we say sometimes. It’s more like a big list.
One of the most enduring and entertaining Nintendo games ever has to be Mario Kart. If you’ve invested in a Wii console for Christmas and want to add a game that is guaranteed to fill hour after hour without necessarily leading to blind, ugly violence, this is probably it.
Right now, the Wii game is on offer for only £17.50, about half the price it usually goes for. You’ll never spend a better £17.50, unless you can find a machine that turns piss into whisky for that price.
Next, in order to stop your breath from reeking of whisky (or, erm, piss) you’ll need a top-notch toothbrush, preferably one of those whirring ones that some people love or that some people run shrieking from, like clowns or wet wood.
Anyway, we digress. If you’ve got a Braun Oral B Precision Clean tooth cleaning system, and you’re looking to stock up on fresh brush heads for it, you can bag yourself an eight-pack of heads for a mind-blowing £12.60. If you have no teeth, you’ve just read a couple of paragraphs that you probably should have skipped.
If you’ve found yourself caught up in the broken city of Baltimore, Maryland as depicted in the brilliant series The Wire, you might be interested in delving into the show that more or less spawned it – Homicide: Life On The Street.
Based on a book by Wire creator David Simon, Homicide (also set in Baltimore) is arguably the blueprint for the modern cop show. We can’t recommend it highly enough and at just £4.99 for the first series on DVD, with series 2 at £5.99 and series 3-5 at £8.99 each, you can’t really go wrong.
