FIFA 14 - now starring Pelé, Ruud Gullit and... uh... Teddy Sheringham

22 August 2013

FIFA-14 EA have announced that, for FIFA 14, they've bagged themselves a licensing deal which will enable you to create the Ultimate Team featuring legendary footballers like Pelé, Fernando Hierro, Ruud Gullit and... well... Sol Campbell and Teddy Sheringham.

This latest deal will allow you to pick players like Patrick Viera or Dennis Bergkamp in your FIFA 14 Ultimate Team alongside current footballers.

Each legend will be randomly included in gold Packs in FIFA 14 Ultimate team.

Executive producer of FIFA 14, David Rutter, said: "Our fans will be able to bring stars from different eras together to create teams and combinations they have previously only dreamed about. For the first time ever, you will be able to play with Pelé and Messi in the same line-up. It is going to create a unique experience within our most popular game mode."

Of course, FIFA games have had teams of legends in-game before, but this Ultimate Team twist should be a novel use of them for gamers when it becomes available on PS4 and Xbox One.
