HotUKDeals Of The Day - Thursday 24th February

24 February 2011

hukd_logob1We’re dressed up as robots here at Deals Of The Day – that’s because our bestest bargains are from the futuristic worlds of laptops and mobile phones. Plug yourself into the zeitgeist and suck it all up, you beautiful bunch of dreamweavers.

More of the same, along with traditional stuff like bog roll and jam can be found over at HotUKDeals...

883846_1We’ve been down to the laptop users’ club this afternoon, and all the talk is of the new, modern Apple MacBook Pro. Some of the members were even drooling in anticipation. But they’re the ones that wear sandals and socks so we don’t really give a toss about what they think.

The really cool folk are the ones who like to be a bit thriftier with their pennies, and they were drooling over this instead. Like the MacBook Pro, it comes in white. Unlike the MacBook Pro, it’s a MSI Win U135 Win XP 7-hour netbook and only costs £134.99, about a tenth of the other thing that we’re not going to namecheck any more.

883530_1Next comes a pay-as-you-go mobile phone deal that we’ve seen here before, but as it’s always so goddamned popular, we felt duty-bound to alert you to it again, especially as we don’t think it’s ever been THIS cheap.

It’s the Android-powered Orange San Francisco, possibly the world’s best value PAYG smartphone and not only do you get the handset for a worryingly cheap £79.99, with a £10 starter top-up thrown in as well. So, a piece of smartphone glory in your world for a shade under £90 then. Bargain.

Finally, we all dream of running a pub don’t we? A place where hundreds of friendly faces will converge night after night, enjoying fine wines and ales, with loads of ribaldry, banter and the occasional sing-song. And all the free beer you can drink.

If you did run your own pub, one of the topics of conversation might be monthly mobile phone contracts. You’d be hugely popular among your customers if you were to mention this one - for only £5.00 a month, you’ll be the proud custodian of 300 UK texts and 60 UK minutes (to standard UK mobiles and landlines). Plus there’s unlimited internet (which probably isn’t actually unlimited – you know how these things work). Oh, and you’ll get one free minute for every minute that someone calls you. Sorry about that pub stuff – it wasn’t really relevant was it?
