HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 7th October

Here's the top three of today's crop from the bargain-snaffling wonderkids over at HotUKDeals. Click here to see them all.

Back when we were kids, TV sets were housed inside huge wooden cabinets, sometimes with doors on the front so that you could close them and forget about its vulgar intrusion into your world when you weren’t watching it. Ownership meant that you could never move house again as it usually took over eight soldiers to shift the thing and there was a war on and that.

You don’t get that sort of thing anymore, but what you CAN get is this very-sexy-indeed 19” digital LCD telly. Available in Ash, Sapele and Beech finishes, it looks so smooth that if there’s nothing on the box worth watching you could comfortably spend an hour just stroking it.

It’s just £139.98 and has built-in HDMI and Freeview. So, (here it comes,) if you’re in need of getting some eminently strokable 19” wood, it can be yours by following this link.

Just don’t come crying to us if you get woodworm in it…

Here’s a scoop. The first four of the seemingly endless series of Saw movies together in one box set – and all for a penny shy of fifteen quid.

Over six and a half hours of the evil doings of the Jigsaw Killer as his cruel and unusual traps turn his victims into helpless pieces in his sick game. What a rotter.

Not for the faint of heart or the delicate of mind. You WILL have nightmares. Big ones.

Always the thinking punter’s superior alternative brand to the iPod, Archos have quietly gone about their business making fantastic multimedia players for years now.

Ahead of the launch of a new-gen model, the price of their highly-rated, Wi-Fi-compatible 605 model has been slashed by Currys - £89.97 for the 40gb and £124.97 for the 80gb.

Tasty stuff, although they’re ‘reserve and collect’ only so some frantic online searching and some lengthy travelling might be involved. Get us one while you're there though eh? Pay you back at the end of the month.
