Apple ordered to place Samsung admission on their UK website
Poor Apple. Not only have they been told by a judge that Samsung did NOT copy the look and feel of their iPad, they also have to admit to that on their own UK website for at least six months.
Even though finger-snapping Judge Colin Birss decreed that the Samsung Galaxy is ‘not as cool’ as the iPad, he threw out Apple’s accusation of copycatting, and has now said that Apple should spread the word far and wide.
This means taking out ads in the Financial Times, the Daily Mail, Guardian Mobile magazine, and T3 to “correct the damaging impression” that Samsung had nicked the design of the iPad. Additionally, Judge Birss says that an announcement should also appear on the Apple website, something that will certainly be embarrassing for the Cupertino control freaks.
As you’d expect, Apple have said that they will appeal against the decision.
