Freebies kick off with Android Pay

Now that Android Pay is running in the UK, that means we're all set for the freebies they offer!

We've spoken about this briefly before, but users will be treated with what Google have dubbed Android Pay Day, which is a number of offers that will be updated every month.

The first two will let you, when you buy a Frappuccino from Starbucks with Android Pay, get a second one for free. If you prefer, if you make your first order with Deliveroo, you'll get £5 off the total (if you're an existing Deliveroo customer, you'll get £2.50 off).

Not too shabby, even if they're not particularly mind-blowing.

So, if you want in on this, all you have to do is install the Android Pay app and add a credit or debit card.

Once you've done that, when you go to a Starbucks, you'll show the cashier that you've got the app, and you'll get a free coffee. Or, if you're getting your tea from Deliveroo, when you get to the checkout, use the voucher code “ANDROIDPAY5" or “ANDROIDPAY2.5".

Both offers only work once, but next month, there's going to be more freebies and money off codes.

Tell you what, why don't Starbucks and Google just start paying tax the regular way like the rest of us? Amazing to think that this promotion is paid for by the very saps they are targeting as potential customers.

What do you think?
