Free health check for every car in Britain

16 July 2009

As a Bitterwallet reader, you’re probably a big fan of free stuff, right? After all, we don’t make you pay to read this site… yet (although we should inform you that EVERY website in the world is waiting for Murdoch to say ‘Go!’ before we all start charging you through the nose. Only joking… or are we?

So, er, yeah, free stuff, isn’t it? Here’s one you should like – you can get your car a free, gratis health check from any one of 450 ATS Euromaster service centres in the UK. No matter what age, make or model, they’ll look it over for you – and there’s no obligation to get any diagnosed repair jobs done with ATS.

The 15-minute inspections include a detailed look at the condition and pressure of your car tyres, as well as a visual check of the front brakes, battery, exhaust and shock absorbers. How nice is that?

Oh, of course - some of you are now going to tell us why it's a shitty offer aren't you?

Quote acecatcher3: id say this is a good deal if u know about cars, cant help but think that the aim here is to have a look and scare people who arent too clued up, into having work done on their car tho?? Thats exactly how I see it. If you're clued up enough about cars enough to smell the BS, you could probably do this sort of check yourself. But if you're not, there is a potential for alot of panic buying for car parts that you wouldn't necessarily need. For example, most cars over five years old will have suspension that could be classed as 'past its best', but thats not to say it actually needs replacing.

Don't be so fucking stupid lads, they'll just come up with a whole host of problems that you'r car 'apparently' needs fixing! As if they're going to give you a free health check and tell you everthings fine, NUMPTIES !

Sorry about the punctuation, it is drastically awful!

Dear Customer, thank you for bringing in your car for it's FREE* healthcheck at your local branch. Sadly, during the healthcheck there were some complications and there was nothing we could do to save your car, it had to be put down. ATS *its not free, GOTCHA BITCH!

@pligg.com why are you copying the shit off this site to your own shit site?

Must be a desperate way to scare the shit out of customers this, Tell them this is wrong that is wrong and fools take the advice and get the jobs done, well well fools are born everday.

They'll give your car a free health-check, and then say "they legally can't allow you to drive off with tyres of that condition"...knowing that you came here for the free check because you know nothing about cars, which includes how much tread you must have. And what does a "visual check" actually mean? Do they just look to make sure the component is present?! So I could smear the pads with grease and they'll just nod and send me on my way? Note: They do provide a link to on guidelines on how to keep your tyres safe and efficient...yet its conveniently broken. http://www.which.co.uk/components/related-content/index.jsp
