£10,000 for six days work? Drinking beer? And you're not dreaming?
You've got to hand it to those chaps at Budweiser. We know it's a marketing stunt and you know its a marketing stunt. But as marketing stunts go, ones that give us free beer, a campervan at a festival, celebs AND £10,000 are the best sort.
That's right, Budweiser UK are running a competition on their facebook page to offer you the job of 'Official Budweiser 66 beer tester' at two festivals this summer- Run to the Sun and Creamfields. You and a friend are driven from Central London to each festival and your only duties are to drink beer with celebrities and be filmed doing so. Oh, and think of ways to spend your £5,000 cheque for each one.
There is some bad news though, according to the terms and conditions "the Winning Participant will under no circumstances be required to drink in excess of the government’s guidelines on the recommended daily consumption of alcohol as part of their responsibilities as the Budweiser 66 official beer tester".
Budweiser have even managed to keep within Facebook's new sniffy rules about people using it for competitions. Therefore, despite the fact that you are required to first visit the BudweiserUK fan page and then like it in order to complete your entry form, please note that, "This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook". So there.
But you better enter quick, because the deal is only open until Midnight on May 23rd. And your chances might be slim- after 9 hours of the competition being open, the current likers stands at 52,033. That's even more than the supremely popular Bitterwallet fanpage .
But in case you are feeling lucky, punk- go. Drink Beer. Thank us in financial terms. And if not, you could alway fall for the hype and go buy some beer to drown your sorrows...
