HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 23rd June

23 June 2009

Time once more for a look-see at some of the smartest bargains as picked up on the HotUKDeals radar over the past 24 hours.

There’s an amazing deal that will get you into a festival for a chip-cheap price, along with tiny gazebos, arse cream and unfeasibly violent US cop telly. Hooray for us!

We’re kicking off today with one of those deals that just looks like it’s too good to be true, so if you’re going to partake, we suggest you do so with a pinch of salt. It’s for two free festival tickets (worth £250) with every £9.99 Splashmac.

Hmm, yes, right. The free shindig is the Hop Farm Festival with acts including The Fratellis, Paul Weller, Doves and Editors on the bill. You can get more info on it at HUKD… and good luck. We’ll see you threre – we’ll be the ones in the Splashmacs.

If the deal is watertight and you do make it to Hop Farm and can’t afford a tent, we’ve got an alternative suggestion for cheap (although not necessarily watertight) accommodation – three children’s gazebos for only £11.75.

You can either tie ‘em together with gaffer tape to make one giant gazebo or kip in them individually. Hell, you might even want to fork out for a tent like a real human being and give the gazebos to your kids instead. Just a thought like.

Finally, we’re sticking with the children, because, hey, they are the future and we should treat them well and let them lead the way, etc etc. If they’re babies, treat them well with reduced-price nappies.

A major supermarket is running a promotion offering a third off all baby products, excluding baby milk. If you don’t have kids, get yourself the first six series of The Shield on DVD for £8.99 each. You’ll become so disheartened by its portrayal of the modern world that you’ll never start a family ever.
