HotUKDeals Of The Day - Tuesday 18th August

Whenever we try to think of the typical Bitterwallet reader, we like to imagine someone who spends days on end playing impenetrable football management simulation games, breaking away only to spend cash on stuff in Apple’s iTunes store and cycle around the streets with a cheap hanging basket protecting their heads.

Don’t tell us, that’s you isn’t it? We thought it was. Appropriately, today’s bargains are tailored just for you – all hailing from HotUKDeals.

Once upon a time there was a computer game called Championship Manager which was as addictive as crack and had a similar effect on the average player’s social life. Then there was a split, and the game’s pioneers brought out Football Manager which to be frank is now a pain in the arse.

Meanwhile the Championship Manager franchise rumbled on, and the newest version is out soon. After a two year break, the publishers say it’s the best yet - and you can pre-order it for as little as £2.51 under this ‘pay whatever you like’ scheme (there’s a £2.50 p&p charge.)

If one was going to buy two £15 iTunes vouchers, one would reasonably expect to pay £30 for them, no? No – or at least not at the moment. We’ve unearthed a deal that will see you paying only £20 for the pair. Bargainsville, Arizona, as they say in the Americas.

As the original poster points out, if you’re looking to get the new TomTom app for your iPhone you could save a hell of a lot of money by buying it using these iTunes vouchers. Then set the controls to Bargainsville and you’re laughing.

Finally, a pocket money purchase that will bring joy and delight to everyone who sees it – provided you use it for its intended purpose. It’s an empty 12” hanging basket and is yours for only 37p!

Alternatively, you could use it as a sub-standard excuse for a cycling helmet and invite derision from bystanders and almost inevitable death. We’re not telling you how to live, but once you’ve spent your 37p, the rest is up to you.
