HotUKDeals Of The Day - Monday 20th April

20 April 2009

Once more, here’s some of the smartest bargains we’ve unearthed over the past 24 hours, courtesy of the hard-working deal-diviners over at HotUKDeals.

They do it because they love you, but what have you done for THEM lately? Eh? Have you rang? Called round with a casserole you’ve made for them? Sent flowers? No, nothing, you ungrateful wretches. Shame on you

If you’re violently opposed to all things Apple but still want a top-notch piece of hardware for your portable audio-visual, this could be what you’re looking for – the Archos 705 80GB WiFi mp4 player.

It’s extremely highly rated by those with a nose for such things, and it’s currently available for less than half price at £159.99. They’re going fast though so get cracking if you want one.

With the weather finally warming up, it’s time to take leave of your senses and fill your fridge up with sickly, sugary carbonated drinks to turn to when sitting around outdoors doing nothing helps you work up a thirst.

Luckily, we can point you in the direction of a dentist-defying deal for two litre bottles of Coca Cola – available for a knock down price of just £1 each. It’s so wrong but that’s part of what makes it so right. Like teabagging.

Finally, while we’re on the subject of sugary nonsense that will help send you towards a slightly-earlier grave a long-established Japanese snack that’s finally made its way to the UK.

There, they call it Pocky – here, it’s Mikado, a crunchy biscuit dipped in chocolate. Like heroin, they’re incredibly moreish and you’ll find yourself rattling through an entire box before you can say ‘imminent horrible sugar crash.’ The chucklesome ad follows below and the 75g packets of the biscuits are currently available for just 59p.

I first found Mikado sticks in Northern France 10 years ago, I'm glad the UK has finally caught up with the craze :/
