Commercial Break: Meat-Free Sauce Parade

29 January 2009

Thanks to Anna for tipping us off about this ad, banned in the US, where it was scheduled to be broadcast during the Superbowl, the biggest sporting event of the year in the States.

It’s an ad by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and aims to put across the message that vegetarians have better sex. It does this by showing a host of scantily-clad femme fatales doing unspeakably saucy things with various root vegetables.

But hang on. Vegetarians have better sex? Does that not include the licking and sucking of human flesh? Uncooked human flesh? Boys and girls, these randy leaf-munchers aren’t vegetarians… THEY’RE PRACTICALLY CANNIBALS!!!

I work with a lot of carpet munchers, they, apparently have better sex.

Actually Andy, do you have any videos of ladies munching on a piece of shag pile at all? I always wondered what carpet munching meant.

I used to be a vegetarian - didn't get me any better sex! I stopped being a vegetarian when I didn't believe in it too much anymore and PeTA started making people like me look stupid with their extreme crap!

Yeah I'm sure all the testosterone I get from red meat is having a terrible effect on my sex life. I'd better start eating oestrogen-mimicking soya beans. Twats.

Nuns seem to think vegetables are good for sex?

@ Rubisco. So the beef and dairy industry pump their cows full of testosterone and not oestrogen do they? Dumbass.

What do you think?
