Everything Everywhere is now EE - and 4G is coming soon

11 September 2012

First there was Orange and T-Mobile. Then they combined to become Everything Everywhere. Now they’re scrapping that name, shortening it to EE. Oh, and there’s this crappy new logo as well.

It won’t mean the end of Orange and T-Mobile as we know them – they’ll continue to exist, but EE will be the name to turn to if you want to be a part of the 4G revolution, with the company becoming the ‘new network for your digital life’.

They have also announced the 4G roll-out, with London getting hooked up first and another 15 cities joining the party by the end of the year. 4G-enabled handsets will be coming too, made by Nokia Huawei, HTC and Samsung. Perhaps the new iPhone will be added to that list tomorrow, perhaps not.

The 15 cities in addition to London that will get 4G by the end of the year are Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield and Southampton.

The new iPhone will be added to that list tomorrow. I have it from a reliable source that their ad agency is gearing up for a masssive iPhone/4g promotion.

yeah T-Mobile Norwich are advertising pre-orders for the I-Phone 5. Poster says come into store . Erm Norwich is not one of the cities to support 4G on the Network so what is the fucking point? Apart to rip people off !
