BT customers suffering huge broadband outages

Screen Shot 2016-02-02 at 15.23.24BT customers are reporting huge service outages with over 40,000 reports within the last 24 hours at Down Detector.

Problems are so far being reported in London, Birmingham, Guildford, Coventry, Manchester, Ruislip, Sheffield, Leicester, Glasgow and Bristol.

The problems seem to have started around 9:50am today and theres currently no news as to when it is likely to be resolved by BT or what the cause of the issue is.

    My e-mail is not working and I cannot get onto BT online to get help. I live in Truro, Cornwall.

    My office is in a small town called Irvine on the west coast of Scotland and I lost connecton at around 2.30 pm. Can't get BT either by phone or their website to report fault however their sales lines are still being answered!!!

    Nothing new to see here, massive monopoly breeds arrogance and complacency... yet another indication the recent report recommending split of bt retail from rest of the group is the way forward.
