Oh. Really? That was Asda last year here in the UK? Ah...its a Walmart company. Yeah. That'll be it.

Things have certainly escalated over here in the UK the past couple of years with a number of videos going viral with people getting a little carried away. I mean, we all love a bargain but at what cost?

Tesco have made the decision to assess their stores individually this year to prepare for the public onslaught with some stores being closed between 10pm and 12am to allow extra security staff to be deployed and more robust barriers/queuing.

A Tesco spokesperson said:

“Our Black Friday event was incredibly popular last year and we know our customers really liked being able to pick up great deals for Christmas.

"For this year’s event we've listened to feedback from customers and colleagues to ensure participating stores have all the resources they need.”

There has also been a warning from the National Police Chiefs' Council for all retailers to consider putting in place more security or extending their sale to more than a day to stop the mad rush that many are expecting.

Things look like they're going to get a bit tasty this year.
