M&S Bank £316 for new current account customers

M&S £316 for new customers

M&S Bank are bringing back their £316 offer for new customers who sign up to their current account.

You get £220 for switching to them, and you also get a £100 M&S gift card for using their Current Account Switch service, as well as a bonus of £10 a month in the first year.

You can get up to the £316 in your first year with the attached regular saver account, paying at 6%.

To get this deal, you'd have to move over two or more active direct debits and deposit at least £1,000 into the account each month.

Of course, there's a number of these types of deal knocking around at the moment, as banks all make eyes at everyone, trying to swipe your custom from your current bank.

The main draw of the account is the generous sign-up offer, paying £100 to switch and £120 over 12 months.

The Co-Operative Bank are offering £150 cash for switching, while Halifax will give you £125 to move to them with a £5 month boost on its Reward Account.

However, there's always drawbacks that you need to look out for, if you look beyond the eye-catching promotions to get you signed-up. With the M&S Bank deal, the overdraft interest you get (beyond the first £100) is 15.9% per cent, which can tot up if you don't clear your debt.

Of course, if you can't pay the monthly minimum of £1,000, you don't get any bonuses.
