WeightWatchers get unfavourable new logo
December 7th, 2012 • 14 CommentsPaula Scher from Pentagram has presumably been given a lot of money to designed a new brand identity for Weight Watchers, which is nice for him. Apparently, the new logo is “modern, open and energetic” and “the new identity conveys a narrative of positive transformation.”
Just one thing.

It clearly says ‘twat’ right in the middle of it.
Once you see the offending word, you can barely see anything else about it. It doesn’t matter that the gradient symbolises the transformation a WW customers goes through because, what it is really saying is that ‘at the centre of every weightwatcher, is a grey twat.

I wonder how much they paid for that logo…
This is like the Saturdays having Turd in the middle.
Too good. Pentagram blushes…
Someone might want to have another read of this article and remove the various mistakes from the copy, otherwise it looks like there is only one twat The person who wrote it!
Paula – Interesting name for a ‘him’
‘money to designed a new brand identity’
‘the transformation of a WW customers goes through’
Perhaps the designer is from Scunthorpe?
Mof wrote it. You expected it to be mistake free?
they will now be known as weigh twatchers
I must admit, I constantly seeing twats everywhere
Its not the twat thats the problem, its the gunt.
Is there a Weightwatchers in Clitheroe?
Thanks, Mof – it’s ruined forever for me now. haha
Regardless of the twat, seriously, positive transformation? A grey gradient? When you go through our program you go from being strong and bold to FADING AWAY COMPLETELY, that seems positive and affirming.
Why would there be a weightwatchers in Clitheroe?
That’s quite a heavy font – welcoming but perhaps not the most aspirational – it looks like your hopes will just fade away – surely it should use thinner text towards the end?
Anyway whilst I’m bitching, who needs Photoshop when you’ve got Microsoft word
