Samsung to release audio dock and 110-inch UHD TV?December 18th, 2012 • 9 Comments
CES 2013 could be rather busy for Samsung as they plan to continue the success of 2012, which saw them becoming a significant player on the mobile market.
And they were in court far too frequently, having a massive argument with Apple, like a married couple, jaded and drunk, airing their dirty laundry in the pub on a Sunday afternoon.
The first rumoured thing is that Samsung will be releasing an audio dock to support various smartphones (obviously that includes the hugely popular Galaxy S3) which comes in a variety of colours and houses two 3W speakers. Full spec and images can be seen here.
In larger news, Samsung are also strongly rumoured to be releasing a 110-inch Ultra HD TV, also to be showcased at CES 2013. There’s a quote doing the rounds which quotes a Samsung spokesperson as saying, “At the next year’s CES to be open on January 8 in Las Vegas, the US, Samsung will have its 110-inch UHD TV on display. Not to mention ultra-sized screen, our UHD TV will boast the best-ever definition and design that you haven’t experienced before.”
Seeing as UHD TVs cost thousands of pounds, we shudder to think how much a 110 inch UHD TV could cost.
what an absolute utter waste…
it’s been proven that the human eye cannot determine pixel definition beyond a certain point of distance.
a standard 50″ 1080p has to be viewed from about 7ft or closer… otherwise your eyes cannot determine the resolution from 720. the average viewing distance is 9ft so already… we’re wasting money on definition we can’t use…
My eyes only see in standard def anyway.
Merry new Year and Happy Easter.
Lance, my eyes see in 3D. I win

My eyes see through blouses and skirts – I fucking win…!
@3rd eye – lol, technically each eye sees in “2d” and your brain does the rest for depth perception amongst other things, but I like your style so I’ll move quickly on
Mine see through bras too.
i can see through your bull shit
Currys used to have a 100″- odd projection TV that cost over £100k in their M6 junc 9 megastore. Can’t think it sold many.
