Human tooth found in Tesco sausage

sausage teeth 300x262 Human tooth found in Tesco sausageTesco have been having a lousy time of it with the whole ‘horses in burgers’ thing, and it keeps getting worse as a couple claim that they’ve found a human tooth – complete with filling – inside a pack of Tesco sausages.

While shopping in Kent, Tony Hinds thought he’d treat himself to some British Pork and Chive sausages from a Tesco store. However, when his fiancée – Lauren Gooch – opened them up, she made the toothy discovery, presumably thinking that the sausage was going to bite her.

With typical British politeness, the pair have vowed to never shop at Tesco ever again.

After being offered £25 in vouchers, Hinds said: “It’s not about the compensation. I want some reasonable acknowledgement of what it was. I’m not a greedy person but at the end of the day, a £25 gift card for a human tooth is not acceptable.”

Tesco handled the matter well, as usual, saying that no-one could prove that they were responsible for the tooth. A spokesperson said: “We are sorry for any upset caused by this incident. However, after a thorough investigation, we are confident the tooth was not inside the product when it arrived at the store. All products undergo robust testing during the manufacturing process including metal detection.”

“The object in question is part metal and, during supplier tests, it was easily picked up by the metal detector. It would therefore not have been able to leave site undetected.”

Either Tesco are fibbing or the couple in question were really, really desperate to get some free stuff out of a retail giant while kicking a pair of bloody pliers under the couch.

Just another sad example of how we treat our older people. It’s the baby boomers I worry about, when these selfish, over using the word entitled, hard done by and lazy fuckers come of age. Will they be as ready to enter the food chain?

I found a million pounds in a Tesco sausage once. I didn’t tell Tesco though as they’d of given me double the difference and kept my loot.

£25 is a joke but better than the £10 they offered us when one of their energy saving lamps burnt out; tripping the lights and setting the smoke alarm off after being in 5 months and hardly used – compo did not even pay for the fuel from home to store and back, will shop elsewhere.
