Coca-Cola makes limited edition bottles out of ICE

When you’re sweating like a nun at a Daniel O’Donnell concert, an ice cold Coke is just the thing. And now you can literally get a Coca-Cola bottle made out of ice. Created by Oglivy and Mather in Bogota, they’re only available in Colombia at the moment (as are so many things coke related), but it’s selling fast – at a rate of around 265 an hour.

The bottle is a perfect frosty recreation of the classic glass bottle, made by pouring water into a mould, freezing it at -13 degrees F and then pouring the Coke in. It’s basically a massive Coke LOLLY. The bottles also come with a Coke branded red rubber band so you don’t freeze your hand off when you touch it.

It all brings new meaning to the idea of a ‘limited edition’ bottle, and certainly beats their lame-ass personalised campaign.

After all, what would you rather have – a deliciously refreshing icy coke or a warm plastic bottle from the Shell garage with “Dave” written on it?
