Chocolate Digestives are the best biscuits in Britain – OFFICIAL

chocolate digestives 300x219 Chocolate Digestives are the best biscuits in Britain OFFICIALThe British public have voted the chocolate digestive as their favourite biscuit in some survey, where the consistent snack bagged a victorious 23% of the vote.

Plain digestives came second at 20%, while the chocolate chip cookie bagged third place with 15% of the vote. Clearly, to win the hearts and minds of the British public, you have to be a biscuit that is pretty great if you buy a branded version, or a cheap-ass version.

In the battle of the sandwich biccies, bourbons won out against the custard cream, in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Malted milk, ginger nut and shortbread came six, seventh and eighth while a measly 3% (presumably all pensioners) voted for fig rolls as their favourite biscuit.

In last place was the dreadful Rich Tea, the driest biscuit on Earth and surely only favoured by those who like a little penance in their lives and clearly aren’t dunkers. Surprisingly, Hob Nobs didn’t make the cut.

A spokesman for the survey said: “It’s fair to say us Brits love our biccies, and why not! We all need a tasty treat every now and again and a cup of tea really wouldn’t be the same without a biscuit to dunk in it.¬†There’s so much choice now when it comes to choosing the best biscuits but it’s good to see the old favourites are standing strong at the top of our poll.”

    No Hob Nobs?

Clearly the result of letting too many workshy foreigners in. Hang the bastards and their disgusting “BN” biscuits (continued page 97)

Seems that the muppets who commissioned the survey didn’t include hob nobs as one of the ten options. Survey fail.

I’m sure the Bitterwallet commenters would have voted for anything by Fox’s.

Rich Tea’s are reserved for ninja dunkers. It takes years of patience to know instinctively when a Rich Tea is at saturation point and liable to break.

How can it be the favourite if 77% of voters didn’t vote it as their favourite?

^ The reason we have a current coalition govt is because neither party got the majority of votes but together they did.

So it’s not quite the same as the favourite-biscuit-vote-result misdescription.

It’s just a rubbish survey created by a vouchers website in order to garner cheap publicity. It looks like they’ve succeeded.

^ majority = +51%. When has any Government been elected with this percentage of the vote. The majority of people get what they don’t want.

There’s also a difference between percentage of the electorate and seats in the House of Commons (where a majority is needed. We don’t have PR in the UK).
