Cash4Gold postal service launched in UK

gold boombox Cash4Gold postal service launched in UKHaving operated successfully in the US for two years paying cash for unwanted or broken gold jewellery, Cash4Gold has now launched a similar operation in the UK. Consumers in the US have been using Cash4Gold as one alternative to the local pawn shop. Over 800,000 Americans have used the service in the two years it has operated there.

In the UK, Cash4Gold will operate from a secure processing site in Sheffield. To use the service, consumers request a gold return package, which is then sent by freepost to Cash4Gold’s processing depot. The gold is photographed and verified, then tested for gold content and assigned a cash value.

94% of people in the US who send in gold accept Cash4Gold’s cash offer. The company has its own refinery where it melts down the gold to sell. Watches, rings, necklaces, gold teeth, silver, platinum, and diamonds are all accepted.

Reception has been mixed, with some Americans calling it ‘the redneck retirement plan’. Cash4Gold also have very tight deadlines for changing your mind before your stuff gets melted down. There have also been cases where the former jewellery owners have been able to negotiate bigger payouts based on a surge in the price of gold for example.
So if you want to join in the fun, educate yourself on the price of gold, which fluctuates daily. You should also know that Cash4Gold will almost certainly make a lowball offer. Middlemen will always want a good cut. But with that the case, if you are up to date on the price of gold, you may be able to counter with a top quid offer and come to an agreement somewhere in the middle.

    balls to them

anyone wanting to do this i highly reccomend

they were near always the best price per gram. the customer service was excellent and the the whole process was fast with money paid directly into the bank via BACS.

get rid of your shit jewelery while the prices are relatively high i say. spend the money on your stupidly high mortgage or your massive credit card bill you stupid bastards whilst i enjoy my near debt free life

By far the best service I have ever had, and my regular place now for selling gold is Hatton Garden Metals at

Fantastic prices-jewellers offered me £4 a gram, they paid me £6.62 a gram. You have to send the item special delivery at your cost, but for peace of mind I wouldn’t use anyone else after the recommendations and research I did into the company. Hot Uk Deals will vouch for this as a lot of us have used them.

You send your items one day special delivery, they arrive the next and pay you within 8 hours to your bank account.

I do not work for them or are in any way attached to the company, I am just a happy customer!

Bizarre that someone living a “near debt free life” would know the best place to flog tat to make a bit of extra money, although “near debt free life” does cover a multitude of sins, such as incarceration in HMP, bankruptcy, dole, etc.

I bet this company are a rip off, I am a trainee silversmith and use cooksons, their prices are always updated daily, hallmarked scrap should always get you atleast £6 per gram these days.

I always melt down scrap and make my own jewellery. Oxy/propane torches are great to use!

  17. “secure processing site in Sheffield”.

I highly doubt that anywhere in Sheffield could be described as “secure”.

Goon, are you actually saying that you’re cleverer than everyone else because you didn’t buy a house? I can’t quite follow you line of reasoning.

Goon invested heavily in crack and whores – that’s where the smart money is.

Sounds like a good service for those with stolen gold they need to get rid of. No face-to-face contact or questions about whether it is stolen.

£6 per gram?! For what purity?

I was looking for some answeres on here regarding selling some scrap (not stolen) gold for the best possible price! but honestly its like reading a schoolboys diary, some of you need to grow up, i have heard a rumore that all gold posted does not go directly to a secure depot in Sheffield but to a special police team first where the stolen stuff is weeded out and the senders recieve a police vist instead of a cheque!!! —— so some of you shcoolboys beware.
