finger airline Airline attendant gets sacked for flipping the bird at passengersTatiana Kozlenko, who is a flight attendant with Russian airline Aeroflot, has found herself jobless after she was sacked for a photo she posted on the Russian equivalent of Facebook, Vkontakte.

Basically, she gave the finger to all her passengers and, having been on a flight, one can hardly blame her. Airline passengers are some of the most tediously pernickerty arses in the universe.

Sadly for Ms Kozlenko, her Aeroflot bosses decided to sack her online, which is rather fitting as she showed her displeasure on a social network.

On the Aeroflot Twitter account, they said: “Posting this photo shows Tatiana’s attitude towards passengers and her duties. She acknowledged her fault when she spoke to her managers.”

Kozlenko isn’t happy about this at all, furthermore, saying that the offending hand wasn’t even hers. On her Vkontakte account, she said: “I don’t consider myself guilty! The photo was added to my page, I only tagged myself on it!!! The hand isn’t mine, the plane is not my company’s!!! I don’t understand what they spoil my life for!!!”

@Tim B, yes I thought that and understood where you might be coming from before you even wrote, but having dated a Russian woman, believe me, they aren’t all like Olympic shotputters. Plenty of model and ballerina types too.

If you don’t want to lose your job don’t slag it off in public. Maybe don’t mention your job on social networking sites as well?

New depths of international terror. I’ll never take a toilet on a train again.

Flipping birds on planes is dangerous though. They could fly into the cockpit or summat.

Would the bird end up in the loo on acceleration ? Or have to do 600mph to fly to the front of the plane ?
These are deep questions that need to be answered.
