Domino's CEO in spectacularly awkward Japanese commericial

8 March 2013

Domino's, the company determined to text you constantly until the day you die, have launched a new marketing campaign in Japan and, mercifully for us, it stars CEO Scott K Oelkers, and he's a terrifyingly awkward human being and a man willing to talk giddily while clearly nonplussed.

The pizza-chain have launched a collaborative app people who have made singing synthesizer technology called Hatsune Miku. After watching this video, you'll have "HATSUNE MIKU!" chirruping away in your head all bloody day.

Oelkers stars in the advert all confused with a stressed face while he explains how the app works and then, to top it off, he appears in a variety of photographs doing a 'V' sign like he's a cutesy Japanese schoolgirl. Not to mention his dreadful jazz hands.

Sadly, we haven't heard Oelkers making sweet 'vocaloid' music yet, but surely it is only a matter of time.

"The pizza-chain have launched a collaborative app people who have made singing synthesizer technology called Hatsune Miku" Presumably the person who wrote that sentence doesn't speak English as a first language?

What do you think?
